2012 Accent Arrives for Houston Hyundai Fans

Texan Hyundai serving Houston shoppers introduces the newly revamped 2012 Hyundai Accent. Still affordable and still stylish, the new 2012 Hyundai Accent already has Houston Hyundai shoppers talking, as it now boasts Hyundai’s upscale “fluidic sculpture” design, best-in-class fuel economy, a spacious interior, plenty of standard safety features, and surprising technology.

“The 2012 Hyundai Accent reinvigorates the subcompact segment, similar to what the game-changing Sonata and Elantra have done in their categories,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product and Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Accent’s class-leading standard fuel economy is another showcase of Hyundai’s dedication to improving fuel efficiency with advancements to traditional gasoline powered vehicles and is the fourth nameplate in Hyundai’s lineup delivering 40 mpg on the highway.”

Houston Hyundai Shoppers Can Choose Between Sedan or Hatchback Accent Models

Houston Hyundai shoppers can experience the new 2012 Hyundai Accent in the 4-door sedan or 5-door hatchback body style. The new Accent is the first vehicle in the Hyundai line-up to feature the all-new 1.6-liter GDI “Gamma” engine, paired with proprietary six-speed automatic or manual transmissions. This all-new engine also offers best-in-class 138 horsepower.

The 2012 Accent might just be the best weapon against rising fuel prices for Houston Hyundai shoppers. The new Accent averages 30mpg in the city and a whopping 40mpg on the highway. That’s an 18% increase from its previous model equipped with a manual transmission and an 11% improvement with an automatic transmission. The new Accent’s EPA also beats out many comparable vehicles, like the Honda Fit and the Toyota Yaris.

Its interior is also sure to please, as Accent’s surprisingly spacious cabin has the roominess of a compact, a class above its actual subcompact category. The new Accent GLS’s interior is also equipped with great features like a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, a 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback, power locks, and air conditioning.

In terms of safety, the 2012 Accent continues Hyundai’s commitment to safety for drivers and passengers. The new 2012 Accent now boasts even more standard safety features than before. Houston Hyundai shoppers are sure to appreciate the added driving confidence from its Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, ABS brakes, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Six standard airbags, and active front head restraints.
